BALLYMORE-MAYGLASS St Fintans/Our Lady’s Island The u-10 footballers played Kilmore during the past week in very wet and blustery conditions. Well done to Rory Doyle and Tomas Carthy who represented the club with great pride with the Wexford Rackard league team. Club and County Draw The remaining two draws in this year’s club and county draw takes place on this Wednesday May 27th and the St Fintans GAA club send best wishes to all that supported it and the club. Clothes Collection Mayglass National School parents association are holding a clothes collection on Friday 29th May.
Bags can be left at the school no later than 9.30am on morning of collection. Please do not drop any bags before or after the collection date as we do not have any storage facilities. GAA Nursery Great news–the nursery and u-6 sessions are back and are suitable for boys and girls in their last year of preschool. The GAA nursery will include hurling, football and camogie during which games will be played have fun and develop kid’s agility, balance and co- ordination.

Tickets for the draw cost €2 and are available from the usual seller’s or from any committee member. The jackpot now stands at €15,000. The numbers drawn were 12, 18, 24, 26.There was four match three winners Ciaran Lynch, Anne Gaynor,Ewelina, Rhac. We would like to thank you all for your generous support.

BANNOW-BALLYMITTY Sad Passing The parish of Bannow was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Paddy Hannon last Thursday following a short illness.
Paddy was involved in many organisations throughout the parish and worked tirelessly for the community over the years. He was also a talented MC and was well known for his many comedy acts and entertaining performances over the years. Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen; his sons Christy and John; his daughter Eimear; his brothers Paul, Tommy, Shay and Chris; his sister Mary; his cherished grandchildren; extended family, neighbours and many friends. Paddy reposed at Ryan’s Funeral Home on Friday, 22nd May, from 4pm to 8pm.
His removal took place on Saturday to Carrig Church for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm, followed by burial afterwards in Shemogues Cemetery. May he rest in peace. Social Dancing Dancing continues in Carrig Community Centre on Wednesday 27th May with music by Michelle Murphy. Dancing from 9pm - refreshments served - all welcome.

We also have holistic practitioners who are qualified in Sonas and Imagination Gym and a nurse in the centre. Our clients vary in age from mid-thirties to over ninety. Wexford Mobile Library The mobile library will be back in Grantstown Daycare Centre on Wednesday 13th May from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. If you would like to join, membership is free. It is not just books you can borrow from Wexford Library, you can also borrow e-books and e-audiobooks. If you are already a library member, you can collect a reserved book from the Mobile Library.
Blackwater Active Retirement Upcoming events: Lunch in Wheelock’s on 24th June, 1pm. Day trip to Spike Island, Cork on 22nd July, approx cost €50 (lunch/dinner at own expense). Split the Pot The winner on 23rd May was Fiadh Whelan with a pot of €124. Congratulations Fiadh.
Envelopes for these draws are in local businesses. Tidy Town group Blackwater Tidy Town group meet every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the bridge at 10.30. All new or old volunteers welcome. It is now the busiest time of the year for litter picking, sweeping painting and generally getting all areas spruced up.
Your help is much appreciated. We will be holding a Raffle on Sunday 7th June outside Spar at 6pm. Lines will be sold in the days running upto the draw. Again your support is much appreciated.
Coffee morning A community coffee morning takes place every Tuesday morning at 10am in the Parish Hall. All are welcome. On Bank Holidays (ie this weekend) notices need to be sent on Friday morning. BREE-GALBALLY Galbally Tractor Run The annual takes place this Sunday 31st May, in aid of Galbally Church. Registration from 12 noon and tractors Depart 1pm. All tractors and supporters are very welcome to attend for what promises to be a great community day out for all ages.
The organisers are also looking for volunteers to help with stewarding, refreshments and general support on the day. Donations of baked goods would be greatly appreciated and can be dropped in on the morning of the run. Any help, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Come along, support a great cause, and enjoy a fantastic afternoon in the community!

Ballyhogue Patron The annual Patron at the cemetery in Bellevue will be held on Sunday 14th June at 2pm. Pilgrimage Trust Support A clothing collection takes place in Bree for the Ferns Pilgrimage Trust Fund in June.
All clothes donations are welcome in Bree Community Centre entrance hall during opening hours. Patrons are reminded that no clothing bags are to be left at the clothing bins, if these recycling bins are already full. This area is monitored by CCTV. Littering will not be tolerated and will be reported.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the wife, children, relations and relations and friends of Liam Blackburn, Knockduff Lane who died last week. His Funeral Mass took place on Bree on Wednesday last. Sincere sympathy is also extended to the mother, brother, sisters, relations and friends of Nathan Butler Carroll, Ballyhogue who died last week. His Funeral Mass took place in Galbally on Saturday last followed by burial in Bellevue Cemetery.
