Aston Villa announce two new pre-season friendlies after Bayern Munich fixture confirmed

Aston Villa will begin their pre-season schedule against Walsall on Tuesday, July 21, with kick-off at 7:30pm at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium. Additional domestic and international friendlies are expected to be confirmed in due course to fill the fortnight between that fixture and the club's next confirmed friendly against Bayern Munich. Villa will face the German champions in Hong Kong on Friday, August 7, as part of the inaugural Audi Football Summit. Five days later, Unai Emery's side will take on UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup in Salzburg on Wednesday, August 12.

The latest friendly to be confirmed sees Villa travel to Germany to face Borussia Mönchengladbach at Borussia-Park. The match is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, with kick-off at 2:30pm UK time. The 2026/27 Premier League season will start on the weekend of Saturday, August 22. Fixtures for the new league campaign will be released on Friday, June 19.
