Benjamin Nygren has hinted that he would be open to the possibility of leaving Celtic this summer. The Hoops landed the Sweden star in a bargain £1.3million deal from Nordsjælland 12 months ago, and he enjoyed a fine debut campaign in Scotland, finishing as the club's top goalscorer with 21 goals in 58 games in all competitions, getting his hands on winner's medals in the Premiership and Scottish Cup. That red hot form has helped the 24-year-old establish himself at international level, with Nygren included in the Sweden squad that have travelled to North America for the World Cup. Those displays have also reportedly caught the eye of transfer suitors, with reports claiming he is on the radar of English Premier League side Tottenham .
And after appearing for his country in their final World Cup warm-up game against Greece, Nygren was asked about his future by Swedish station Radiosporten , and replied: "We'll see what happens." The versatile forward was on the end of a heavy challenge during the 2-2 draw with the Greeks and had to receive medical attention. However, Nygren insists he is still in good shape to be available for selection in Sweden's Group F opener against Tunisia in Monterrey, Mexico on Monday. Speaking about the tackle to Goteborgs-Posten , he added: "I passed, then he came in and tackled me so I twisted my ankle. It hurt right then and there.
We were going to change anyway so we took it safe before it was too late. "You've sprained your foot before, so you can still feel the difference. I can walk, move and stand on one leg. It felt completely okay.
