Bournemouth have reportedly made a decision to try and keep three of their key players amid interest from Manchester United and Arsenal . The Cherries enjoyed an impressive second half of the season to qualify for Europe for the first time in the club’s history. Andoni Iraola guided Bournemouth to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League to qualify for the Europa League , and they were just three points behind Liverpool , who clinched Champions League qualification.
As a result, a host of Bournemouth's players are already being linked with moves away from the Vitality Stadium. Eli Junior Kroupi, Alex Scott and Rayan have all seen their futures become the subject of speculation over the last few weeks thanks to their success with the Cherries. Various outlets are reporting that Bournemouth are determined to keep all three players at the club beyond this summer, despite some of the Premier League's biggest clubs apparently showing an interest. Scott is under contract with the Cherries until 2028, and it’s been reported that the former Bristol City star could be offered a new deal in an effort to prevent the playmaker from leaving the club.
Thomas Tuchel did not name Scott in the 26-man England squad for this summer's World Cup, but the 22-year-old will be part of the Three Lions' pre-tournament squad for friendly matches against Costa Rica and New Zealand. Manchester United have been linked with a move for Scott this summer as they look to strengthen their midfield options, with Atalanta star Ederson on the verge of moving to Old Trafford in a £38million deal.
Meanwhile, Kroupi has enjoyed an impressive full debut season in English football after arriving in January last year, scoring 13 goals in the Premier League. His form has led to rumours that Arsenal may pursue a deal for the 19-year-old, with a number of other clubs also linked. Rayan only signed for Bournemouth back in January from Brazilian club Vasco da Gama and is under contract until 2031.
However, the Cherries will be mindful that the forward has an £87m release clause in his contract, which will become active next summer. United are thought to be prioritising their midfield during this summer’s transfer window, with a host of players being linked alongside Ederson. JOIN US ON FACEBOOK!
