Chris Hughes - the cheeky chappy who shot to fame in the Love Island villa in 2017 has given his honest opinion on all the drama surrounding Katie Price and her husband Lee Andrews after the latter’s bizarre disappearing act. The reality star, 48, tied the knot with the Dubai-based businessman after a whirlwind romance in January - her fourth marriage to date.
But their relationship has been a turbulent one since the get-go - culminating in his no-show on a recent planned GMB appearance with Katie and his mysterious disappearance, with days of zero contact with his new wife. Chris, 33, who has been happily loved-up with American Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa, 23, since the pair fell for each other on Celebrity Big brother in 2025, has spoken to the Mirror about the ongoing furore.
Despite having his own famous beef with mum-of-five Katie in the past, reality-star-turned sports presenter Chris admits he finds the whole saga fascinating - but his heart goes out to her. “Oh, it’s crazy. I'm sure it will probably be made into a Netflix documentary in years to come. It’s so fascinating because of the way the conversation - the way the news travels in stories like this, often via social media. It’s like we’re following it all in real time. “I do feel sorry for Katie though.
It's not a nice situation for her, or anyone, to be in - I do sympathise with her. No, it’s not nice at all.” The former Love Islander and Katie famously locked horns back in 2017 , after Chris alleged that Katie had sent him flirty messages behind his then-girlfriend Olivia Attwood's back - sharing screenshots of the supposed messages, only for Katie to fire back that she had 51 supposed screenshots of his replies. The pair later buried the hatchet, calling a truce in 2018 - Chris revealing later that the pair had actually become ‘good friends’, after meeting at charity football matches.
But Katie seemed to reignite their supposed feud last year when she took aim at him publicly following his stint on Celebrity Big Brother . Away from the showbiz drama, Chris is currently backing a campaign with JoyStroll, urging Brits to stop scrolling on their phones occasionally, and get out into nature - and is hosting a huge Pure Gym JoyStroll launch event this Thursday in Manchester. “We’re urging anyone to come down! We're all doom scrolling - apparently like 12k a month, and on our phones for too long, me included!
But I also love getting outside and reaping the benefits of fresh air and exercise. I love walking - more than cycling, or running. It’s a lovely thing to do, so if you’re in the area, come get involved!” “It's just a nice, gentle, friendly reminder to stay off your phone for a brief period of time and enjoy the outdoors a bit! It’s good for us!” PureGym’s Joy Stroll movement encourages people across the UK to swap scrolling for movement, fresh air and social connection.
