Coronation Street fans spot new romance brewing as star reacts to 'suspicious' return

Coronation Street fans think they have spotted the next possible romance in Weatherfield after a star reacted to her latest 'suspicious' return to the famous cobbles. As those who follow the ITV soap know, a 'whodunnit' is currently underway following the murder of Theo Silverton back in April. Months after it was teased that one of five villains would be killed, it was confirmed that the abuser was the one to meet a dark fate. His demise brought an end to his 13-month reign of terror over his partner, Todd Grimshaw, which saw the undertaker destroyed by physical and mental abuse, before he bravely decided to report Theo to the police following a horrific attack that left him needing hospital treatment.

Click here to sign up for more Coronation Street updates in our newsletter It was Betsy Swain who was seen discovering Theo dead on the night of her mum Lisa and Carla Connor's wedding day, which came after the flashforward episode of Corrie confirmed she would be the one to make the discovery earlier this year, before the big reveal happened at the end of April. As Corrie viewers didn't see the moment Theo was killed, it has left Todd and his loved ones, Summer, George Shuttleworth and Christina Boyd among the possible murder suspects, alongside Gary Windass and Theo's ex-wife, Danielle Silverton, who could also be guilty of Theo's demise. It was last week that Danielle was seen being quizzed over her former partner's death, after Ryan Connor revealed he saw her on the fateful night as she provided the wedding cake for brides Lisa and Carla. He shared what he saw after Danielle lashed out at Todd over his being given Theo's life insurance.

Ryan pointed out that he saw her car still around the area hours after making the cake delivery, possibly linking her to being around when Theo was killed. She ended up being questioned by Lisa, with Danielle saying she visited a friend and later confirmed her alibi checked out. Amid her return, actress Natalie Anderson, who plays the recurring role, took to Instagram with some screenshots of her scenes with Ryan Prescott, who plays namesake Ryan, and said: "Suspicious minds…All the twists and turns @coronationstreet. Pic: @itv #tv #drama #actor #onset." And fans were quick to respond to the post, with some suggesting a romance could end up emerging between Danielle and Ryan, if she makes another return to the cobbles, which others were demanding she does. @carlasxconnor said: "Danielle and ryan situationship when?" @haaranhall commented: "Romance incoming for Ryan and Danielle.
