A couple of Coronation Street stars have been sharing their own photos from Michael Le Vell's wedding after the cobbles legend tied the knot over the weekend. The actor is famed for his role in the ITV soap, which he has held for 42 years. He made his first appearance on the show in October 1983 and has played the iconic character, mechanic Kevin Webster, ever since, with the character surviving various tragedies and affairs over those four decades.
But away from the famous cobbles, Michael, who hails from Newton Heath, keeps his private life just that. However, on Saturday (May 30), he was seen getting married to his now-wife, Louise Gibbons, with whom he has been in a relationship since 2014. Sally Dynevor, who plays his on-screen ex-wife Sally Metcalfe and Alan Halsall, who plays his best pal Tyrone Dobbs, were among the delighted guests, as were Joe Duttine, who plays Sally's on-screen husband Tim Metcalfe, and his co-star wife Sally Carman, whom he wed in July 2022.
Michael's on-screen younger sister Debbie Webster, played by actress Sue Devaney, was also there to show her support, and has since been seen in pictures from the special day alongside Tony Maudsley and Peter Gunn, who Corrie fans will know for playing Weatherfield's George Shuttleworth and Brian Packham. Alongside a picture of the trio, Tony jokingly wrote on Instagram: "About to take a chunk out of Sue Devaney's head!! #Tasty ," with Sue notably wearing the outfit she was snapped arriving at Michael and Louise's ceremony in, alongside her on-screen son Jonathan Howard, who joined Corrie last year as Carl Webster.
Meanwhile, Alan was also seen posting his own pictures and videos from the special day. Alongside a picture of the newlyweds, the soap star penned: "The boss got married," while he also gave a glimpse at his own suited and booted appearance for the occasion. He also shared a video of a joyous Michael belting out a few notes with his wedding singer, Cole Page, who held the microphone as he entertained his guests. "@colepage1 as always getting the party started," Alan penned alongside the clip, shared to his Instagram Story.
Alan also wrote alongside some of the pictures on his Instagram grid: "Suit on. Smile on. Celebration on. Raising a glass to Mike & Louise.
Cheers to love, laughter and happily ever after." Fellow wedding guests were quick to respond, with Sally Carman writing: "What I remember was wonderful." Jane Danson, who is famed for playing Leanne Battersby in Corrie, also shared: "[heart emoji] Wasn’t it such a gorgeous day," as Jonathan added: "Great day [heart emoji]."
