A fundraiser has been launched to support the heartbroken family of a 16-year-old girl who drowned at a popular beauty spot near Tamworth . Lillianna Tomlinson died after getting into difficulty in the water near Kingsbury Water Park during the heatwave on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25. Emergency rescue teams rushed to the scene at 6.10pm and spent more than an hour searching before her body was retrieved at 7.20pm. More than £4,800 had been raised so far. Jayne told BirminghamLive : "We want to give Lillianna the send-off she deserves and support her family at this time." She described the teen as "bright, kind, and caring". Jayne said: "She had a beautiful smile, a loving heart, and a way of making people feel seen and valued. "She brought laughter, friendship, and joy to so many, and her loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
"For my daughter, Lil was more than a best friend. "The memories they shared will be treasured forever.
