Jets completely overhauling weight room with cutting-edge performance center

The Jets underwent a roster makeover this offseason and now a key component of their training center is about to undergo one of its own. The Jets are replacing their traditional weight room with a “Player Performance Center,” a two-story facility that will integrate all aspects of player performance from strength and conditioning to nutrition to recovery. “It’s a first in class player performance facility that’s going to cover every aspect of nutrition, recovery, sports science, sports vision training, strength and conditioning,” Erik Korem, the Jets director of player performance, said. “It’s really going to help us integrate advanced technologies to develop even more personalized performance programs for our football players.” Korem assisted with the project, which began being planned last year. Construction will begin when the Jets offseason program ends next month and is expected to be finished some time before the 2027 season.
