Katie Price has reportedly been requested to make a television appeal for information about her missing husband. The former glamour model , 48, who married Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews in January just a fortnight after meeting him, hasn't heard from him since he failed to turn up alongside her on Good Morning Britain for a planned interview nearly two weeks ago. The former I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here! contestant has rejected suggestions that he has been detained, and has grown increasingly worried that a "kidnapping" may have occurred, so is understood to have been approached to make an official on-screen appearance. A source revealed: "Katie has been in almost daily contacts with police, at least two different units.
On Friday she was asked if she would appear on television and officially appeal for information on her missing husband. It all feels very surreal and like the thing you'd see on an ITV primetime drama." Speaking to The Sun, they continued: "Of course, she doesn't want to go on telly pleading for new intel if he really is on the run - and ghosting her.
But she will do all she can to help, even if that means launching an international manhunt. She wants him found safe and sound." Daily Star has contacted Katie's representatives for comment. This comes mere hours after the ex-glamour model shared a voicenote in which she can be heard trying to inform father-in-law Peter about the businessman's location, in a clip she asserts provides a unique glimpse into 'how the first few hours unfolded' after her partner vanished, reports the Mirror . Katie has alleged he was abducted, but detectives have since highlighted several inconsistencies in that narrative.
He remained absent from social media until Friday (May 23) when he seemed to follow another account on Instagram. Previously, he had only followed the mother-of-five - but in an odd twist he now also follows a woman named Marisol. The rationale behind his disappearance has become increasingly murky as the self-proclaimed billionaire appears to be 'borrowing' a similar tale from another victim. In her latest YouTube video, titled: ' Katie Price Vlog: The morning after my husband goes MISSING.' she gave fans a glimpse into the aftermath.
She claimed that Lee said his "kidnappers" had taken two of his phones but he had a secret third one that he was using to communicate with her. The video was shot a day after Lee disappeared. "Because last night, they said, 'They've taken two of my phones. They don't know I'm on this phone'.
And so he said, 'I'll just let you know I've been arrested. If they ring you,'" she alleges he informed her. "He wrote a text quick. I mean, I'm hope he's all right, but I don't know," she continued, before demonstrating herself leaving a voice note for her father-in-law, whose number Lee provided her just moments prior to his disappearance.
She penned in the caption: "My head felt like it was about to explode with all the noise and the chaos so it was nice to be about to chill and zen out if only for a moment. It was only the day after he went missing and I was still trying to process it all while trying to keep myself busy." Since then, his dad has asserted that his son is not missing but is actually incarcerated in prison instead. He stated over the weekend: "Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest.
I don't know on what charge. I'm not sure where he is being held.
But he will call me later today."
