The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025–2026 of Kerala Engineers Association (KEA) was held successfully on May 15, 2026 at Safir Hotel with the enthusiastic participation of members, families, sponsors, former office bearers, and distinguished guests. The AGM commenced with a welcome speech by Vice President Christy Thomas and reflected KEA’s remarkable journey of unity, professionalism, friendship, and service since its formation in 1997.
Addressing the gathering, KEA President Renji Varughese highlighted the association’s achievements during the EC-28 tenure and expressed gratitude to all members, volunteers, sponsors, and well-wishers for their wholehearted support. He emphasized that the year witnessed the successful conduct of numerous family-oriented, cultural, sports, wellness, and community initiatives that strengthened the emotional bond among KEA members in Kuwait and across the globe. Programs such as the Kerala Get-Together at Nihara Resort, Kochi; the Onam Family GetTogether in Kuwait themed “Athirukalillathe”; World Environment Day competitions; Photography Contest; “Vandhanam” home visits; “The Pink Escape” organized by the ladies’ members; Sargotsav; Kids Club activities; Quiz Club sessions; workshops; and various family engagement programmes significantly strengthened the socio-cultural outlook of KEA.
The President further highlighted the launch of the “KEA–Metro Family Privilege Scheme” in association with Metro Medical Group, providing healthcare benefits exclusively for KEA members and their families. He also noted that sports activities remained one of the strongest pillars of KEA during the year. The successful organization of the KEA Football League (KFL), KEA Veterans Football League (KVFL), and KEA Kids Football League (KKFL) together for the first time marked a major achievement for the association. “KEA is not just an association; it is a lifelong bond built on trust, friendship, shared memories, and collective growth,” the President remarked while extending his best wishes to the incoming EC-29 team for another successful year ahead. KEA General Secretary Vijayalakshmi Govind, in her annual report, highlighted that one of the association’s most unique and heartfelt initiatives, “KEA Vandhanam” — a brainchild of the President — involved Executive Committee members visiting nearly 300 member households across Kuwait, strengthening personal relationships and reinforcing KEA’s family spirit.
She further noted that KEA’s young football champions brought pride to the association by winning the CETAA Kids Football Championship for the fourth 1 consecutive year, reflecting the success of KEA’s mentorship and training initiatives. The KEA Fitness Club also emerged as one of the most successful wellness initiatives of the year, engaging nearly 300 participants through walking challenges and year-long fitness activities promoting health, wellness, and togetherness. KEA also celebrated academic and creative achievements during the year, including securing Second Prize at Shaastrotsav 2025 for the innovative “Peltier Endo-Exo Cooling System.” The association further strengthened its digital presence through the launch of the KEA Programs & Partnerships Portal, KEA Classifieds, club portals, and the digital archive “KEA Vandhanam Chronicles,” preserving the memories and journeys of KEA families around the world. Special appreciation was extended to Jimmy Jose Aricatt, KEA Treasurer, and Vinayan P R for their exceptional efforts in advancing KEA’s digital transformation.
During the public function, KEA released its annual souvenir and officially launched the digital album “Vandanam Chronicles.” Sponsors were felicitated for their valuable contributions, and KEA members who achieved excellence in professional, academic, cultural, and sports fields during the year were also honored. The cultural session of the AGM, attended by member families and guests, witnessed a vibrant blend of cultural performances, member recognitions, sponsor felicitations, and entertainment programs, making it a memorable gathering for the KEA community in Kuwait. Commencing with an exciting Magic Show, the public function captivated the audience with a musical session by Ruth Toby, a member of the guest family, creating an engaging atmosphere throughout the evening. The audience also enjoyed the special Al Ansari Lucky Draw session, followed by the felicitation of KEA members for their remarkable achievements during the year in various professional, academic, cultural, and social fields.
KEA Joint General Secretary Sheji Pally, while delivering the vote of thanks, expressed KEA’s sincere gratitude to the sponsors. He also thanked all members, volunteers, artists, sponsors, and well-wishers for their wholehearted cooperation and support in making AGM 2026 a grand success and a memorable family event for the entire KEA community in Kuwait.
