Love Island fans have said the same thing after ITV's huge announcement for its spin-off show. A brand new season of Love Island is returning to ITV2 and ITVX in a matter of days (June 1) as a brand new batch of Islanders are heading to a luxury villa in search of love. With a new season of Love Island also comes its spin-off show Aftersun, and a brand new panel has recently been confirmed. After it was revealed that the big three, Shakira Khan, Toni Laites and Yasmin Pettet will return to host the show's brand new Debrief podcast, they will also appear on the Aftersun panel alongside three other familiar faces.
They will be joined by former Islanders Casey O'Gorman and Tyrique Hyde as well as podcaster Joe Baggs. Sharing the news on Instagram, Love Island wrote: "Say hello to our new Love Island Aftersun panellists. "Casey O’Gorman, Toni Laites, Yasmin Pettet, Shakira Khan, Joe Baggs & Tyrique Hyde are entering the chat! They’ll be joining Maya Jama every Sunday for all the hot gossip." Viewers were stunned to see four-time Love Islander Casey on the line up as one person joked: "When will we be rid of Casey?! [laughing emoji] other than that I quite like the lineup!!!!" Another said: "No one asked for Casey ?" A third added: "They signed casey up for after sun so he can’t enter and a bombshell again [laughing emoji].
A fourth replied: "Should’ve got messy Mitch instead of Casey", as a fifth echoed: "Real talk: we’ve seen enough of Casey." Another commented: "Everywhere I go I see Casey’s face." One person said: "Omg... Now I'm definitely not watching!" However, many were pleased with the line up as one fan replied: "Omgwhat a team choketh." Another added: "Soooo excited for aftersun!" A third commented: "now this is an A Team", as a fourth admitted Casey had the "experience". The new panel replaces Amy Hart, Sam Thompson, Indiyah Polack and Ash Holme. As well as Aftersun, Love Island fans can also tune in to the newly named Love Island: The Debrief vodcast as ITV teased: "With a sensational Summer of love ahead, the vodcast will also be available as a nightly companion show for audiences across ITV2 and ITVX, with Toni, Shakira and Yas downloading on all of the hot topics from inside the world’s most famous Villa." Speaking about the new vodcast previously, Amanda Stavri, Commissioning Editor for Entertainment and Reality at ITV, said " Love Island’s ‘Big Three’ played a significant part in the show’s success last Summer, so to reunite the trio as hosts of our revamped vodcast is a very exciting proposition.
"Once again the show will be first with all of the post show opinions, and in our new slot on ITV2, there are more ways than ever for our audience to engage." Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITVX on June 1 at 9pm.
