Following this, the actor approached High Court and it granted interim relief to him. Advocate Puneet Bali told ANI that order was passed in Yograj Singh's favour after a new anticipatory bail petition filed in the HC. He revealed that no coercive steps would taken against the Lukkhe actor. He shared that primary issues raised before the High Court was that Yograj Singh acted in a web series and it was a character that he played.
"It was argued that this is creative work... He is bound by a contract, and this artwork belongs to the company that is producing it... So you cannot blame the actor for this... Yograj Singh cannot be arrested right now.
The case has been adjourned in July," he told the news agency. According to the same agency, the FIR was filed under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 62A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
