Two separate vehicle fire incidents were reported in Maharashtrarsquos Thane during the early hours of Tuesday with no injuries reported in either case officials saidIn the first incident a Renault Triber was completely gutted after it caught fire near Saket Bridge on the MumbaiNashik carriageway in Thane WestAccording to the Disaster Management Cell of Thane Municipal Corporation TMC the incident was reported at around 406 am by the Jawahar Bagh Fire StationThe vehicle driven by Rahul Yadav was travelling from Kalyan Bypass towards Gaimukh when the fire broke outYadav and his three friends who were travelling in the car managed to safely exit the vehicle after moving it to one side of the road No injuries were reported in the incidentPolice personnel fire brigade teams with a rescue vehicle and fire engine along with Disaster Management Cell staff rushed to the spot Officials said the fire caused extensive damage and the vehicle was completely burntThe blaze was brought under control and fully extinguished by around 454 am officials addedParked TATA Eicher Pro catches fire near Castle Mill NakaIn another incident reported minutes later a parked TATA Eicher Pro caught fire near Ambeghosale Lake at Castle Mill Naka in Thane WestOfficials said the incident was reported at around 433 am by local resident Pravin Ingale The vehicle owned by Vishal Singh was parked along the roadside when the fire broke outPolice personnel and fire brigade teams with a fire engine rushed to the spot after receiving the alert No injuries were reported in the incidentThe blaze damaged the driverrsquos cabin of the vehicle before firefighters managed to bring the situation under control The fire was completely extinguished by around 505 am officials addedBEST bus catches fire at Pratiksha Nagar depotMeanwhile aparked BEST bus caught fire on the night of May 24 at the Pratiksha Nagar Depot parking yard in Mumbai triggering a swift response from the fire brigade and police officialsNo injuries were reported in the incidentAccording to officials the incident took place at around 1130 pm on May 24 and involved Bus No 7692 which operates on Route No 9 from the Pratiksha Nagar Depot MateshwariThe bus had been parked and stabilised in the depot yard at around 1021 pm when security guard Bin Nawaz noticed flames emerging from the idle vehicle during routine surveillanceThe guard initially attempted to locate a fire extinguisher but was unable to access one due to the intensity of the flames Authorities were immediately alerted following which the fire brigade rushed to the spotFirefighters reached the depot at around 1221 am and managed to completely douse the blaze by 1230 am Police personnel and media representatives also arrived at the scene shortly after the incidentOfficials said no passengers or staff members were injured in the fire The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained
