Marcus Rashford has no desire to join Arsenal despite transfer approaches being made for the Manchester United forward. The 28-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, but his dream move to Barcelona was scuppered by Anthony Gordon's switch to the Spanish club, with Premier League sides now circling. Newcastle United and Tottenham have also been linked with the winger, but Rashford is determined to head back to the Camp Nou following a hugely productive loan spell in which he racked up 28 goal contributions. That form earned him an England recall and a place in Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad, where he'll be battling Gordon for a starting berth.
With Barcelona splashing out £69million on Gordon, their purchase option for Rashford - under half that figure - looks unlikely to be triggered. And with a reintegration at United also appearing off the cards, a host of clubs have declared their hand, only to be firmly rebuffed.
According to Spanish outlet Sport , Arsenal , Tottenham, and Newcastle have all made contact for Rashford but the England international is unwilling to listen to any offers from those teams. Mirror Football previously reported that Chelsea are also keeping close tabs on his situation. FOLLOW OUR ARSENAL FB PAGE! Latest Gunners news and more on our dedicated Facebook page All of those Premier League clubs are in the market for a left-winger, with Manchester City's Savinho back on Spurs' radar.
Newcastle, meanwhile, find themselves locked in a tussle with Chelsea for Swedish wonderkid Zadok Yohanna. The Gunners have their eye on Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers .
While not a natural wide player, like Rashford, he is capable of operating in that position but does prefer to be deployed in central areas. Arsenal would benefit more from bringing in a touchline winger, but it appears as though they will need to look elsewhere beyond Rashford. His stance could yet shift, however, with Barca firmly focused on Julian Alvarez. Mikel Arteta's side have also been linked with Alvarez but appear more likely to sign Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi.
Paris Saint-Germain were linked to the teenager but seem more concentrated on Liverpool target Yan Diomande. Eintracht Frankfurt's Nathaniel Brown has attracted interest from those in north London, but Bayern Munich appear to have pipped them to his signature. Departures from the Emirates Stadium are also anticipated, with Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus amongst those surplus to requirements and free to move on. Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White and Leandro Trossard are the established names who could be offloaded to generate funds.
The latter was recently quizzed about his future and stopped short of making any firm commitment, with his fate likely to be determined after the World Cup.
