Gujarat Titans (GT) made a change in their playing XI for the first Qualifier against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and brought in Kulwant Khejroliya in place of Arshad Khan. Teams usually don't alter their winning combinations, especially for must-win games.
But GT brought in the left-arm pacer, who is playing his first game of the season. Kulwant has been part of GT in the past and has played one game for them. Here, we know more about Kulwant, who kicked off his IPL career with Mumbai Indians (MI) - A little-known Kulwant Khejroliya started his domestic career with Delhi. He replaced Ashish Nehra in Delhi's Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2016/17 season.
Nehra is GT's head coach. He joined Mumbai Indians (MI) for Rs 10 lakh in the IPL 2017 mini-auction. He didn't get a chance for MI, but was part of the IPL-winning team. Kulwant shone for Delhi in domestic cricket and made it to the India A cricket team.
He was in high demand in the IPL 2018 mega-auction and joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for Rs 85 lakh. He played 3 matches in IPL 2018 and 2 games in 2019. In 2021, Delhi Capitals (DC) signed him as a replacement player. He was with them as a net bowler.
Kulwant didn't get to play for DC. After 2019, he played his next IPL game for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2023. KKR released him before IPL 2024. He joined GT for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega-auction.
