Motsepe Ready for Thrilling AS FAR–Mamelodi Sundowns CAF Champions League Final

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, expects a thrilling CAF Champions League final between AS FAR and Mamelodi Sundowns. The much-anticipated final is taking place today at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, drawing thousands of fans to Rabat. “We are set for a thrilling CAF Champions League final between two of the biggest clubs in Africa,” Motsepe said upon his arrival in Rabat. He said the club competitions are witnessing significant growth and prosperity, stressing that he is certain the passionate and enthusiastic Moroccan fans will turn out in great numbers to celebrate and watch the final. He also commended Morocco’s efforts in supporting African clubs as well as women’s football.
He said that the historic achievement of Morocco’s World Cup run remains a source of pride for the entire African continent. Tonight’s game is taking place at 8 p.m. Moroccan time. For the first time, the final of the tournament will also be broadcast in Japan, South Korea, and China on DAZN.
Over 100 territories will broadcast the game. In Morocco, the match will be available on SNRTV’s Arryadia and beIN Sports. The first leg of the CAF Champions League final ended with a 1–0 victory for Mamelodi Sundowns. AS FAR’s coach, Alexandre Santos, is confident in his squad.
He acknowledged the challenge, as his team is facing another of Africa’s giants. “This is the final match of the Champions League campaign, and I’m proud to be here with my players,” Santos stated.
