Ever since Fear Street: Prom Queen star India Fowler was cast as Grace Ivers on Amazon Prime Video's Off Campus, fans were expecting that the Season 2 announcement would feature her and Antonio Cipriano as the leads. However, the streamer pulled a switcheroo as Stephen Kalyn and Mika Abdalla were revealed as the new leads of Season 2 with respective characters Dean and Allie. Cipriano recently spoke about Fowler's perfect casting and why it's a good thing fans will have to wait for Logan and Grace's romance in a possible Season 3 of Off Campus. Antonio Cipriano teases chemistry with India Fowler on Off Campus In an interview with People, Antonio Cipriano spoke about delaying his character John Logan's story to a future season.
In the books by Elle Kennedy, Logan and Grace's story is featured in the second book, The Mistake. However, the second season is adapting The Score instead, which is book three. Cipriano was glad that viewers didn't see Logan fall in love in the first season. He felt this way; fans get to know the character better along with the struggles he has to go through.
When he meets Grace and takes down his walls, viewers see their romance up close. The first season works as an introduction for all the characters so that fans eventually root for everyone to fall in love. The actor read with three different actresses for Grace and they were all incredible. Fowler's casting was unveiled just a few days before the show's premiere.
However, Cipriano felt, "India just brought something so ... I don't know, she truly fell right out of the books. It was just like I was talking to Grace." His character John Logan is the best friend to Garrett, played by Belmont Cameli, the co-lead of Season 1. He falls hard for freshman Grace, who joins Briar University.
