Pakistan Using Underworld to Wreak Havoc in Mumbai and Delhi - How ISI-Linked Terror Module Busted

The Delhi Police's Special Cell busted a terror module run by Pakistan-based Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and arrested eight men in connection with the crime after it emerged that they were planning blasts in Mumbai and Delhi. The police indicated that D Company was working at the behest of Karachi based handlers. The police revealed that ISI sponsored module was even linked to Mumbai underworld elements, who planned to wreak havoc in the financial and political capital. It further emerged that earlier in May, Vijay Shooter, a don hailing from Jharkhand, was arrested from Pune.

Further, based on his disclosure, one Nitish Paswan was picked up for his alleged involvement. Both admitted to having ISI links. The police interrogation led to emergence of attacks being planned at key installations in both places. An official said that technical surveillance for important Mumbai installations, such as Dadar railway station, which witnesses lakhs of commuters across western and central railway lines, was done.

Two more boys from Mumbai were arrested - Arbaz Khan aka Sajid Mehboob Shaikh and Taoqeer Shaikh, who were working at the behest of a handler that Vijay Don was associated with. Yavar Khan, another Pakistan-based handler readied a team for Mumbai, and the police intercepted three hailing from Ludhiana, Punjab and recovered 25 cartridges, two glock pistols and four hand grenades, they were live so NSG blasted them. The cops caught them on their way to a hideout in Chhatarpur. In Delhi, at strategic locations, they were asked to attack and fire upon security personnel.

Handler Attacked Rajan on Shakeel's Instructions Delhi Police Special Cell Special CP Anil Shukla said that the investigation revealed the role of key part of underworld, including the accused Munna Jagada, who in the year 2000 had attacked Chhota Rajan and spent 17 years in Bangkok jail and later returned to Karachi. Those arrested were nabbed in close coordination with state police agencies. The weapons were supplied from Pakistan Ordnance factory. The other places on target were, power plants, airports and nuclear plants. The four handlers operating from Pakistan are - Munna Jagada, Yavar Khan, Shehzad Bhatti and Aamir Jatt.
