Pep Guardiola makes promise in final speech as Man City boss

Pep Guardiola said he will "have Manchester City fans in his heart" for the rest of his life as he said goodbye to Blues fans for the final time. City confirmed on Friday that Guardiola would be leaving the club this summer after a trophy-laden decade in Manchester. City's men's, women's and academy teams paraded their silverware for the season through the town centre on Monday, with fans offered the opportunity to say one final goodbye to Guardiola and other departing greats. City paraded all 20 trophies won during Guardiola's tenure at the Co-op Live after party following the open-top bus parade, and a night fueled by emotion saw Guardiola make his final speech as City boss.
He spoke to Oasis legend Noel Gallagher, who had conducted his first ever interview as City boss ten years ago. "To say bye to John [Stones] and Bernie [Bernardo Silva] and all these incredible legends like Vinny [Vincent Kompany], Fernandinho, Eddy [Ederson], Jack [Grealish], all of them and many, many more. I feel tonight that really means that connection that this club, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, and all the people and all the City fans that were connected from the first minute.
"Thank you so much, I don't have enough gratitude. Always I will have, for the rest of my life, have you in my heart. Thank you so much."
