ASUS has revealed the ROG Xbox Ally X20, a new iteration of its handheld gaming device created in association with Microsoft. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 features a bigger screen, OLED display, and will only be available in a bundle alongside the XREAL R1 AR glasses. ASUS announced the ROG Xbox Ally X20 at Computex. Made in celebration of ROG’s 20th anniversary, the new Xbox Ally handheld has a translucent black body with a gold-accented internal structure.
It packs a 7.4-inch OLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 also replaces the library button with an action button, and its four-directional D-pad can be replaced with an eight-directional D-pad, similar to what’s seen on the Xbox Elite controllers. The Xbox Ally X20 won’t be available as a standalone product, though. It’s being bundled with the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses.
The AR gaming glasses can project a 171-inch virtual screen and can be plugged directly into the Xbox Ally X20. There's no current release window or price for the new products, but you can expect to read future updates on our ASUS topic page.
