A special concert dedicated to Sonic the Hedgehog will be held in Manchester next year as the popular character celebrates his 35th anniversary. The animated mammal made his debut in the self-titled video game , released on the Sega Genesis console back in 1991.
Since then, there have been numerous Sonic games as well as comic books, TV shows and even a series of movies starring Jim Carrey as the villainous Dr Robotnik. To coincide with its 35th year celebrations, a new concert experience will debut in the US later this year which aims to bring together the music and moments of the beloved video games to the stage.
