Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s date night got a little awkward. The Oscar-nominated actress and Kylie Cosmetics founder arrived at Rocket Arena to watch the actor’s favorite NBA team — the New York Knicks — take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. As the couple arrived at the venue and were seated in their seats, the announcers shared that they were in the arena as they did with stars such as Spike Lee, Tracy Morgan, Pitbull, and more who traveled to Cleveland to watch the Knicks. When they called for Chalamet and Jenner, however, some fans in the crowd began booing, which made Jenner look uncomfortable.
Fans in the comment section had a mixed take on the booing, with some defending the couple and others agreeing with the disruptive crowd. “Why are people so negative about them? I think they’re cute and they took this in great humour! He’s a die hard knicks fan…” one fan wrote. “We dont care, respectfully,” another fan commented. A fan reacted, “I feel like Timothee took a whole break from movies for this Knicks run and I respect that.” https://www.instagram.com/reels/DYx__18AzId/ It was known that Chalamet was attending tonight’s game as he posted a selfie with fellow Knicks fan, Oscar-winning director Spike Lee, on Instagram.
Jenner however hasn’t been to the Eastern Conference Finals games thus far, marking this one as her first. She has however, been to several games with Chalamet who she’s been dating for three years. During Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Jenner made sure she had her TV turned onto the game and she shared how she decided to watch from the comfort of her own home. The mom of two had some chips, a bottle of wine, and caviar on her bed with an overlaying text that read, “GAME NIGHT!” If the Knicks make it to past the Eastern Conference Finals it will be the first time since 1999 that the team has made it to the NBA Finals.
The Knicks or the Cavs will have to face the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. The Western Conference Finals series is currently tied at 2-2.
