Warwick Academy have been crowned the 2026 Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Middle School Boys Super 8s cricket champions after a clinical demolition of Saltus Grammar School in the grand finale at White Hill Field. Winning the toss and electing to bowl, the newly crowned champions choked the run rate from the opening delivery, systematically restricting Saltus to a modest 43 runs. Asa Trew-Smith offered the lone structural resistance for Saltus with a hard-fought 17, but the target always appeared well below par. The second-innings chase proved a straightforward assignment for Warwick.
Losing just two wickets, they needed a mere 4.1 overs to hunt down the total. Opener Lewis Macfarlane spearheaded the charge, anchoring the chase with a sharp 17 before capping off his afternoon by smashing a boundary to seal an emphatic victory. The path to the finale had earlier delivered immense drama. Saltus punched their ticket following a thrilling, down-to-the-wire escape against The Whitney Institute, driven by a brutal, 43-run knock from Trew-Smith that featured seven towering sixes.
Saltus set a target of 68, with Whitney falling agonizingly two runs short on 66. In the adjacent bracket, Warwick smoothly navigated their assignment, comfortably defeating Sandys Secondary Middle School to set up their eventual coronation.
