It documents the aftermath of the former Premier League champion making the decision to leave Leicester City Football Club after more than a decade at the club. Jamie joined the club back in 2012 from Fleetwood Town FC which continued his meteoric rise through English football.
Not only did he help them to secure promotion to the top flight but his record breaking goal-scoring streak saw the side lift the Premier League trophy in one of the most memorable football fairy tales in 2016. While Leicester as a club have seen their fortunes take a downturn on the pitch, the time eventually came last year for Jamie to seek a new challenge. ITV's new docuseries picks up and tells the inside story of Jamie navigating this next step while he continues to juggle his family life. So, where do the Vardys live now after this huge decision?
Here's all you need to know. *Warning - below contains spoilers for The Vardys* Last summer, Jamie took the decision to sign for Italian side US Cremonese. This leads to him and his family making the decision to leave the UK behind at least for a year, possibly two, depending on how the team performs. The ITV series sees Rebekah on the hunt for where they could live while her husband is thrust straight into team preparations for the season ahead.
While she is seen looking at properties in Lombardy, which is the region were the team are based, they fail to impress. In the end, they opt to move in to a villa on the banks of Lake Garda.
According to TV Guide, the property was worth around £8 million and based in Salò. However, Jamie is seen speaking to one of his children's friends on a video call where he says it is not as big as their home in the UK. Before the end of the season, Rebekah and the children made the move back home for good and are living back in the UK. They returned to their 12-bedroom mansion in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
Cremonese were relegated to Serie B at the end of the season, meaning Jamie's contract was not automatically renewed for another year. At the moment of writing, his deal is set to expire on June 30, according to website Transfermarkt. He has been linked to clubs in Scotland, Wales and England. They include Rangers, Wrexham, West Ham and Hull City.
It is not known if the family will relocate again depending on Jamie's next club. The Vardys is streaming on ITVX.
