Liverpool-linked Yan Diomande has reportedly given his approval to join European champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The Reds are believed to be pursuing the 19-year-old Ivory Coast international .
However, RB chiefs are reportedly ready to reject big-money offers after securing Champions League qualification. The Bundesliga club's stance could therefore hamper Liverpool's chances of landing the skilful teenager. And the French media outelt Foot Mercato now claim that Diomande has agreed to join PSG. It is reported that several meetings have already taken place with Leipzig over a potential move.
It is also said that the forward is tempted by the prospect of joining Liverpool but less enthusiastic about joining Bayern Munich. RB chief Oliver Mintzlaff has also insisted that only a huge fee could force his team to release Diomande, making any deal difficult to pull off.
Speaking to Sky Germany, he said: "I can say: If I were sporting director, I wouldn't sell this young player, who hasn't even completed a full season with us. FOLLOW OUR LIVERPOOL FC FACEBOOK PAGE! I believe he's a player who can still develop further, because he's still very young.
And he can certainly become more expensive." Meanwhile, Diomande has shared the guidance he received from former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp . The German resigned as Liverpool manager in 2024, bringing his eight-and-a-half-year tenure to an end. He has subsequently taken up a position at Red Bull as Head of Global Football, supervising several clubs, including in Leipzig. The 58-year-old will be fully aware of what Diomande offers to Ole Werner's team , having scored 13 goals and registered nine assists across 33 appearances.
Klopp has spent time with the winger through his Red Bull duties and Diomande revealed the advice he was given , while playing down suggestions they had discussed a move to Anfield . In an interview with Bild earlier this year, Diomande said: "No, not that.
But we talk every now and then. He tells me to stay humble and keep working hard. It was always my dream to play on one of his teams. "That's not quite possible now.
But being so close to him now, talking to him, shaking his hand, it's incredible. "He's a legend. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a movie."
